Allies
Allies are a sub-class of monster which attack other monsters rather than the player. They cooperate with the player and avoid attempting to harm them - most will attempt to follow the player and the player can swap with them by moving into their space, although there are exceptions. They can be thought of as being on the same "team" as the player. Dead allies will appear in their own section of the kill list and do not increase the player's total kill count.
